The nose shows bramble and black current bush, there is plenty of earty notes and pencil lead here. The palate shows some dark juicy fruit, the tannins are very fine and supple giving just enough structure and the finish is long and fresh. Good depth of colour; the nose has a natural richness to it – not too powerful but very generous; the palate has super concentration, lovely ripe, yet grippy tannins and excellent persistence. The palate repeats these characters with high-toned fruit and fresh acidity giving great balance. On the palate its sweet tart, fine, pretty sour cherry, withbaking spice, savoury darkminerality and a hint of bitterness which lends lovely textural andflavour balance. in a good way.
