Beguiling and leads into a really well weighted palate of cassis, mulberry and fine tannins. Lots of energy and tremendous Cabernet class. Salinity and freshness to the long finish. £21.70 This Rosso is made in a punchy, fruit-forward style. The nose shows cherry and dark berries with savoury leather and earthy notes. The palate is fleshy with more cherry fruit with small but firm tannins which give a full body despite this cuvée seeing no oak aging. The finish delivers a good fresh acidity all in balance with the full body and structure. Still young, this is drinkable now but will keep well. Full-bodied, it comes across as slightly austere and lackingmid-palate texture, before finishing long, with hints of Berry Zinger tea.
