A very elegant and attractive nose shows notes of ripe plum, savoury notes, flowers and lots of ripe berries. This is generous, complex and concentrated. The palate is fleshy and precise, a well made wine with a good round mouthfeel and the finish is long and structured with rounded grippy tannin. The acidity is very well measured here, it really helps the fruit sing and the wine carries the new oak well. A highbrow, complex wine which really highlights the strength of the right bank this year. Very classy. Naturally, it shows themoremid-weight style of the year and yet there is plenty of depth as well as energy that starts to emerge with a bit of time in the glass. Bright saline notes shape the wine while extending the finish and adding so much drive. The 2021 is shaping up to be a very special wine. All it needs is time.” - ANTONIOGALLONI DRINK: 2032 - 2048 £1,300 - £1,575 / 6BOTTLES VINOUS 95-97
