CHÂTEAUCLINET “At 75%Merlot and fully 25%Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2021 Clinet contains thehighestproportionofCabernet intheblend(excepting the 2003) since at least the 1980s. Ronan Laborde harvested late, picking into mid-October, to craft a medium to full-bodied, deep and impressively seamless wine evocative of dark berries, baking chocolate, violets and spices. Concentrated and nicely integrated, it is one of the vintage’s notable successes.” - WILLIAM KELLEY, WINEADVOCATE DRINK: 2028 - 2046 £365 - £450 / 6BOTTLES WA93-95 CHÂTEAULACONSEILLANTE 83%Merlot, 17% Cabernet franc. Pretty ruby colour, not too dark. Cool dark fruit and mineral note. Bit of new oak comes though on the nose. The palate is serious, with lots of savoury notes intertwined with the dark berry fruit. The tanninhere is very fine andwell worked. The finish is long and has a great freshness, it is savoury and inky. A very serious option and one of the best from the Right Bank. Definitely a highlight of the vintage. DRINK: 2032 - 2050 £875 - £1,025 / 6BOTTLES WA95-96 The 2021 La Conseillante “is a super-classic La Conseillante the likes of which has not been made here in a very long time.” - ANTONIOGALLONI

CHÂTEAUL’EGLISECLINET 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet franc. 75% new oak. A serious brooding nose full of lovely ripe blackberry fruit, cassis, herbs and tobacco. The tannin is ripe, big and firm. The freshness is here which lifts the fleshy fruit and makes it linger on the finish. This is incredibly ripe and fruit forward in style with an excellent tannic structure and acid which are all in balance. A very pleasant surprise this vintage. DRINK: 2030 - 2046 £1,295 - £1,495 / 6BOTTLES WA93-96 VIEUXCHÂTEAUCERTAN 77% Merlot, 20% Cabernet franc, 3% Cabernet sauvignon. Intense ruby in colour, the nose has, as they describe it, an ‘immortelle’ flowernote (a localbloomabit likecamomile). A rich and intense earthy nose with very classy blackberry and cassis. Good freshness, well made with gentle oak giving cedar and smoke notes. Nothing over-done here. With more oak aging over the following months, it will lose a bit of tension for a roundermouth feel. Pretty bright red and black fruit, some herbs and menthol notes on the palate. Very fine tannins and cool refreshing acid on the finish. Elegant, seductive and effortless. Delicious! DRINK: 2032 - 2050 £675 - £825 / 3 BOTTLES WA94-96 The 2021 “Vieux Château Certan is one of the finest wines of the appellation this year.” -WILLIAMKELLEY,WINEADVOCATE
