A super refined, Merlot dominated nose of cool plummy fruit, flowers, smoke and savoury herbs.Denseandsilkyon thepalate, lots of plush fruitwith a savoury bitter chocolate note. The tannin is very fine but grippy and gives a mineral note on the slightly saline and very freshfinish. All verywell balanced andwell executed. Very classy and extremely elegant. A touch of blue fruit, very pleasing flowers and herbs creep through the pure, ripe blackberry and cassis fruit with wood smoke, hint of sweet spice. Dainty, fresh and elegant. The palate is full of elegance, powerful pure juice is balanced with an excellent freshness, maybe the key to the identity of this vintage. The finish has ripe savoury fine tannins with a little grip. Effortless and delicious. Gentlymineral on the freshfinish. A great wine.
