SEO updating

● SEO is the name given to activity that attempts to improve search engine rankings. In search results google will show results that it thinks are relevant and authoritative. The authority is mostly measured by analysing the number and quality of the links from other web pages. ● We will conduct SEO keyword research updating from 2021. We will try to do this each 6 months- a year to freshen up your SEO. This is to determine what key words and phrases are being searched for in your industry, see where you’re ranking for those key words and phrases, and then look at how we can improve that positioning for both sites.

● Good content encourages people to go to your pages which will show google that your page is interesting and authoritative. This is why we suggest updating your website as regularly as possible. ● As your latest news on your website hasn’t been updated since 3rd November 2020, we would propose conducting some topic research for you and write relevant unique SEO blog articles to post on each site at regular intervals.

● Video is also great for SEO, and the case studies can help with this!

Minor web updates

● We have looked through your website and have noticed a few things that could increase SEO, functionality/usability and design of your website. ● Footer is very large, we recommending reducing the size of the footer by reducing the spacing and organising the page content. ● In regards to the FAQs page, we think this should be formatted better - possible change of colours or sizing? ● The ‘What We Buy’ page could have a better use of the layout here. The page is very long currently. ● Can we refresh the imagery throughout the website as some of the images are blurry? This would include the sitewide header images. ● Add ‘How To Find Us’ page under ‘About’ in the footer. ● Remove the ‘Covid’ message as we’re not sure if this is still necessary.

● As your app, as reflected in your app report, has lots of viewers we need to reflect your website as much as possible. ● On your app homepage I think like on your website we could include your opening times e.g. ‘closed on bank holidays’ and better format the times of opening hours.

● On the ‘What We Pay’ page I think the ‘find price’ could be a brighter shade of green much like your branding colours. Additionally, we could include the ‘metal’ background like your site. ● We could also add your logo to the header.
